First up is the annual Big Eddy Film Festival, a three-day event held in the beautiful little town of Narrowsburg. Come see a movie or, better yet, attend the entire Big Eddy Film Festival all weekend!
It may surprise some people to know there is a thriving film scene in the Catskills. The annual Big Eddy Film Festival held in Narrowsburg, NY is a core part of that scene! The festival runs all weekend and features independent films from around the world (including the Catskills!), Q/A with film makers, cocktails, parties and more!
This year’s lineup includes two new films shot in Sullivan County, a “Sexy Shorts” program, art-themed documentaries, a meet the Filmmakers cocktail party, and opening and closing night films and parties.
Von Steubenfest

Beer, brauts and a band!
You might be asking yourself, who exactly is this Von Steuben and why is there an annual festival for him? Celebrating Baron Friedrich von Steuben, who served in the American Revolution and was General Washington’s Chief of Staff. Von Steubenfest is considered the German-American event of the year with parades and festivals happening in major cities across the US, including of course in our own Yulan, NY!
Held rain or shine, this year’s activities include German music, dancing, food, drink, entertainment, crafts and lots more! Special musically guest will be The Mountain Express Band, who combines a diverse mix of music including German, Polish, Slovenian, Latin, Country, and Classic Rock.Tell us what you think!
